This village is very car friendly. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy. Despite the fact that cyclists do not face significant slopes, Hyas is not very appropriate for cycling as the bicycling network is not very well-developed. Most homes for sale in this village are located in places that are also not very suitable for those who prefer to travel on foot since most daily needs are challenging to meet without a vehicle.

Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in Hyas. Most of the housing growth in this village happened between 1960 and 1980. This part of Division No. 9 has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to shop for groceries. As far as education is concerned, it is a very short walk to get to primary schools from most properties for sale in this village. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Hyas.
