Indian River offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, public green spaces are very easy to access, since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in and getting to the closest park from many houses for sale is very easy.


Driving is a very good transportation option in Indian River. Parking is easy. On the other hand, commuting by transit can be difficult in Indian River as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. Walking is not very feasible for property owners in this area as many daily needs are very inconvenient to carry out without the use of a vehicle. Although bicycling is better in certain sectors than others, this area is also not particularly suited for biking as there is a significant amount of hills, and Indian River is home to a rather limited bicycling infrastructure.


Indian River experienced its largest construction boom in the 1980s, so most of the available properties are from this era. In this neighbourhood, many buildings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly duplexes and townhouses. About three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. This part of the municipality is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.


Some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the municipality will reside within walking distance of the closest supermarket. There are also a few opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants. With respect to education, it is a rather short walk to access primary schools from anywhere in Indian River. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Indian River. Residents benefit from public and private elementary schools.
