Island Lakes is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of properties for sale are a short drive from the closest highway. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in Island Lakes by reason of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and thus some basic food items is generally convenient. A limited number of restaurants are available in Island Lakes as well.
