Jerome is a great area for home buyers who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Even though the atmosphere is not the most lively in this part of the city with its a few nightlife venues, there are options for nighttime activities. On the other hand, there are around 10 parks close by for residents to visit and they are especially well-distributed, making them easy to get to.
Transportation
This part of the city is reasonably suitable for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. On the other hand, Jerome is not very conducive to cycling since there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave. Jerome is an extraordinarily good part of Hamilton for driving. The majority of real estate listings are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Lincoln M Alexander Parkway, and coming across a parking spot is easy. However, Jerome is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop.
Housing
Around three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one quarter are renters. The predominant housing types in this part of the city are single detached homes and townhouses. Most homes in this area were constructed after the year 2000, during its main building boom. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
Services
House buyers in Jerome will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short trip away. Additionally, there is generally a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. Property owners have access to a fair number of nearby clothing stores. In terms of education, it is a rather short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from any location in Jerome. However, high schools are not especially plentiful and consequently tend to require an extended stroll to get to.
