Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Kanaka Bar. It is very convenient to park. It is very difficult for pedestrians to navigate Kanaka Bar as meeting daily needs is nearly impossible without a car. Cycling is also very hard in this reserve since the terrain is not very flat, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.

Housing

In Kanaka Bar, roughly half of buildings are single detached homes. This reserve offers mainly one bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Renters occupy nearly all of the units in the reserve and owners occupy the remainder. The homes in this reserve are very new, since about half of its dwellings were constructed in the 1990s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 2000s.

Services

In all cases, a car is needed to shop for groceries. With regards to education, this reserve does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, parents may find it very hard for their kids to access daycares as pedestrians.
