Transportation

Katit 1 is very car friendly. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. Traveling by foot is not very feasible for property owners in this reserve because meeting day-to-day needs is practically impossible without a vehicle. Katit 1 is also not very appropriate for biking because the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and there are a good number of slopes.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Katit 1 is an important part of its character. This part of Central Coast offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Renters occupy about 60% of the units in Katit 1 while the rest are occupied by owners. About 40% of homes in this reserve were built in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1990s.

In this reserve, families will almost always be able to access primary schools by walking. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Katit 1. With regards to eating, house buyers in this reserve almost always have to rely on a vehicle to access the nearest supermarket.
