Access to parks is easy in the neighbourhood, since getting to the closest one is easy from the majority of houses for sale and there are approximately 10 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in. This part of Burlington is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially around Queen Elizabeth Way, Highway 407 or the railway line.


Driving is a great transportation option in this part of Burlington. The majority of properties for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is very convenient to park. However, residents using public transit may have limited options in La Salle by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by the Aldershot Station on the Lakeshore West Line. House owners benefit from a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Bicycling is challenging in this part of Burlington as cyclists are faced with quite a few hills, and the cycling network is rather poor. Walking is also not very practical for home buyers in La Salle because running common errands is sometimes difficult.


Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing most dwellings in La Salle, while large apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock.
