It is very difficult for people travelling on foot to get around in La Vallee since almost no common errands can be run without a car. The bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in this township because there are a fair number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and there are very few bike lanes.

Housing

The sizeable proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of La Vallee is an important part of its character. This township offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the dwellings in La Vallee whereas the rest are rented.
