Lastly, green spaces, like Rouge Valley Park and Box Grove Community Park, are very well-situated and there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to unwind in, making them easy to access from the majority of locations within Legacy.

Transportation

Travelling by car is very easy in Legacy. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 407, are very easy to access from anywhere in this part of Markham. In contrast, commuting by transit can be challenging in this area due to the low service level. Nevertheless, there is Hwy 7 / Wootten on the Viva Purple. There are around 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Traveling by foot is not very convenient for house buyers in Legacy as very few common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. In contrast, the bicycle is a good means of transportation in this part of the city.

Housing

In Legacy, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 5% are rented. Most housing in this part of Markham was built in the 1990s, during its most significant building boom.

It is a very short stroll to reach primary schools and daycares from anywhere in this part of the city. In contrast, Legacy does not have any high schools. In terms of food, a supermarket is typically reachable within a reasonably short walk from anywhere in this part of the city. There are also a few restaurants and cafes in Legacy.
