    Cars are an excellent transportation option in Long Point. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. Bicycling is difficult in Long Point because there are very few bike lanes. Nevertheless, there are a limited number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists. Long Point is also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because almost no daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle.

    Housing

    About one third of homes in Long Point were built between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 2000s. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this part of the city. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in Long Point whereas the rest are rented. This community offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.

    In all but a very small number of cases, a car is required to do groceries. As far as education is concerned, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of Norfolk County. Furthermore, daycares are not plentiful and thus not always within a short distance.
