Lot 58 is an excellent township to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Lot 58 is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil.

Transportation

Travelling by car is especially convenient in this township. Accessing a place to park is easy. This township is not very bike-friendly as the terrain is not especially flat, and the bicycling network is quite poor. Many of the houses for sale in this township are located in areas that are also not very convenient for people who prefer to travel on foot because almost no day-to-day needs can be carried out without a vehicle.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of buildings in Lot 58, and the rest are mainly mobile homes. This part of Queens County also has a good variety of housing size options; properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly 95% of the population of this township own their home and the rest are renters. The homes in this part of Queens County are quite old, since around 45% of its dwellings were constructed pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this township. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. As far as food is concerned, a car is almost always needed in this township to access the nearest grocery store.
