    Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the municipality. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy. Lower Ship Harbour is not very appropriate for cycling since there are very few bike lanes, and there are quite a few slopes. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of Halifax are located in places that are also not very conducive to those who get around as pedestrians because almost no daily errands can be run without a vehicle.

With respect to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in Lower Ship Harbour. Moreover, families may find it very difficult for their children to get to daycares as pedestrians.
