Driving is usually the best transportation option in this part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot. However, this city is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is the Port Haney Station Westbound, Maple Meadows Station Eastbound and Port Haney Station Eastbound on the West Coast Express. There are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the city, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this city, even though many day-to-day needs are convenient to meet without a car. It is also at times challenging to get around by bicycle in Maple Ridge as cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes, and this part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area is home to somewhat poor cycling infrastructure.
