Green spaces, including Jackie Parker Recreational Area, are especially well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, which makes it very easy to get to them from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood. The noise levels in this part of the city are also quite low, as the streets tend to be reasonably peaceful.


Driving is an excellent transportation option in Mill Woods Golf Course. It is a very short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this area, and it is very easy to park. However, the public transit system in this area is somewhat poor. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by approximately 10 bus lines, and it is straightforward to find a nearby bus stop from most residences. This area is cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of bike lanes. Walking is not very practical for residents in this neighbourhood because very few common errands can be run without the use of a car.


In Mill Woods Golf Course, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and 15% are rented. This part of Edmonton experienced its largest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available homes are from this time period.


Getting to the nearest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in Mill Woods Golf Course. With regards to education, it is a reasonably short walk to get to daycares and primary schools from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood.
