Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in this reserve. It is very easy to park. It is very difficult for pedestrians to navigate this reserve because almost no day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. Mingan is also not very cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of elevation changes, and there are very few bike lanes.

Housing

In Mingan, around 85% of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings. This reserve also has quite a good variety of unit sizes - there is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this reserve. Renters occupy around 90% of the dwellings in the reserve and 10% are occupied by owners. About one third of homes in this reserve were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Mingan. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long trip away. Regarding eating, a vehicle is almost always needed in Mingan to reach the nearest grocery store.
