Moosonee is a wonderful town to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. Most areas in Moosonee are very quiet, as the streets are generally especially peaceful closer to the railway line or one of the 3 airports (Moosonee Water Aerodrome,Moose Factory Heliport,Moosonee Airport).

Transportation

Driving is very often the preferred transportation option in this town. It is very easy to park. Getting around on foot is not very practical for house buyers in this town as running daily errands is difficult without needing a vehicle. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in Moosonee since there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of buildings in Moosonee, whereas the rest are mainly townhouses. This town has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. However, parents and their schoolchildren may consider it very hard to reach daycares by foot.
