Mount Currie offers a calm environment. Mount Currie is very quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

Transportation

Mount Currie is an extremely good reserve for getting around by car. Coming across a place to park is easy. This reserve is not very conducive to people who prefer to travel by foot since running day-to-day errands is nearly impossible without a vehicle. Mount Currie is also not very bicycling-friendly because riding is rendered difficult by the often hilly terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Housing

The substantial proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Mount Currie is an important part of its character. This reserve is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Renters occupy about 60% of the units in the reserve and 40% are occupied by owners. Roughly one third of homes in this reserve were built in the 1980s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s.

Services

Mount Currie does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, daycares are not abundant and therefore not always within walking distance. With respect to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed in Mount Currie to access the nearest supermarket.
