Mun is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Although this part of the city is not known for its vibrancy, with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located a short distance away. Transportation
Mun is a fairly pleasant part of St. John's for pedestrians; many daily needs can be met without a vehicle, and various businesses are moderately close at hand. Mun is also rather amenable to bicycling since the bicycling infrastructure is reasonably good. This area is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner. However, this area is particularly car friendly. In this neighbourhood, around half of buildings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly duplexes. Most of the housing growth in this part of St. John's took place pre-1960. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.

It is occasionally practical for house buyers in Mun to shop for groceries on foot. Additionally, there is typically a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. House buyers benefit from a fair number of clothing stores within walking distance. With respect to education, daycares and schools are straightforward to access on foot from most properties for sale in this part of the city.
