Nelles offers a relaxed environment. Most areas in Nelles are quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder areas, especially closer to the railway line. It is very difficult to get to green spaces from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since they aren't well-spread out. Despite that, there are around 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy.

Transportation

Nelles is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park, and the majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway. Nelles is not particularly amenable to bicycling since there are a fair number of slopes, and this area has rather limited cycling infrastructure. Traveling as a pedestrian is also not especially practical for home buyers in this area because few day-to-day needs can be met without the use of a vehicle.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing most dwellings in Nelles, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around three quarters of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and the remainder are rented. Roughly 40% of properties in this area were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are very easy to get to as a pedestrian from anywhere in this neighbourhood. However, Nelles does not contain any high schools. With regards to food, it is easy to access the nearest supermarket on foot from most houses for sale in this part of the town. Likewise, Nelles is a good place in which to eat out, and there are also a few coffee shops in this part of Grimsby.
