North Oakville offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy. It is easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood and there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in. This part of the town is a great area for those who don't mind a bit of noise, since traffic during rush hour can occasionally be bothersome.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in North Oakville. The street layout is very amenable to cars, and it is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. In contrast, the transit in this neighbourhood is not very accessible. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. This area is not very suited for biking as the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Nevertheless, it is an even ride to most destinations. North Oakville is also not very well-suited for people who travel by foot since very few daily errands can be run without a car.

Housing

Roughly two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. This area experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This part of Oakville offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.

Services

In the majority of cases, a vehicle is required to buy groceries. With regards to education, there are only a very small number of high schools in this neighbourhood and consequently they can be a very long stroll away. Likewise, this neighbourhood does not have any primary schools. Furthermore, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be a rather long stroll away.
