North York real estate guide & listings for sale

Home buyers who prefer a calm environment will enjoy North York. This part of Toronto is quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially around the airport (YZD), Highway 404, Highway 407 or one of the railway lines. Lastly, the greenery in this part of Toronto is quite prominent as a lot of streets have fairly good tree coverage. There are over 500 parks nearby for residents to relax in, such as Charles Sauriol Conservation Area and E.T. Seton Park, resulting in them being very easy to get to from most locations in this former municipality.

Transportation

North York provides property owners with the choice between different methods of transportation. Thanks to a multitude of rapid transit stations on the Yonge - University Line and Sheppard Line, and over 100 nearby bus lines, the good public transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many people. Physically active house buyers will also appreciate the pedestrian-friendly character of this part of Toronto; many day-to-day errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. North York is not very appropriate for cycling because cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not very extensive.
