Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides is fairly good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Autoroute Laurentienne. Public green spaces aren't well-located, which makes them rather challenging to access. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to discover, including Parc du Bon-Pasteur and Parc linéaire de la Rivière-des-Roches.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is an extremely convenient part of Québec for driving. Coming across a place to park is generally easy, and most properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute Laurentienne. However, travelling by transit can be challenging in Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides as a result of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by around 10 bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides is not very bicycling-friendly because riding is made difficult by the typically hilly terrain, and there are very few bike lanes. Many of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since very few common errands can be run on foot.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about 55% of buildings in Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides, and the rest of the homes are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. About 40% of properties in this part of the city were constructed after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.

Reaching the closest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in this area. There are also approximately 10 restaurants in this area. With respect to education, there are only a few high schools and primary schools in Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides and accordingly they can be a long walk away. Furthermore, it can be difficult to access daycares as a pedestrian.
