Pace Settlement is a wonderful community to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. Most areas in Pace Settlement are especially quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-spread out, which results in them being very hard to get to from the majority of locations in the community. Still, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to visit.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in this community. Finding a place to park is generally easy. This part of the municipality is not very conducive to pedestrians because running common errands is very difficult without a car. Biking is also challenging in Pace Settlement as the terrain is not especially flat, and this community has quite bad cycling infrastructure.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing almost all buildings in Pace Settlement. Roughly 40% of properties in this area were built prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s. This part of Halifax is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 80% of the dwellings in the community are occupied by homeowners and 20% are rented.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this area. Furthermore, daycares are not plentiful and therefore not always within walking distance. With regards to eating, buying one's groceries usually requires the use of a vehicle in Pace Settlement.
