Patricia Heights is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This area is quiet overall, as the streets are usually peaceful. Lastly, public green spaces, like Patricia Ravine, are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy, which results in them being very easy to reach from many locations within this neighbourhood.


Patricia Heights is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of houses for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway. In contrast, public transit riders may experience few options in Patricia Heights by reason of the low service level. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. It is impractical for pedestrians to navigate Patricia Heights because meeting daily needs is sometimes difficult by walking. However, commuting by bicycle is easy in Patricia Heights because this part of Edmonton is home to a fairly good bicycling infrastructure.


Patricia Heights experienced its main construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period. Small apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing about 55% of dwellings in this part of the city, and the rest are mainly single detached homes. The split between renters and homeowners is about even. This area offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes.


Purchasing one's groceries frequently requires the use of a car in Patricia Heights. There are a limited number of opportunities for those who value restaurants in close proximity. Concerning education, parents and their schoolchildren will value that wherever their house is located in this part of Edmonton, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood.
