The character of Queensborough is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Most areas in this part of the city are very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, most locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to green spaces, such as Hamilton Community Park and Ryall Park, since there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

Transportation

This part of New Westminster is very car friendly. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 91A, from any home in Queensborough, and it is convenient to find a parking spot. In contrast, the transit system in this area is somewhat poor. Thankfully, property owners profit from 22nd Street Station @ Platform 1 and 22nd Street Station @ Platform 2 on the Expo Line. There are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Queensborough is not particularly suitable for pedestrians because running common errands is inconvenient without needing to get in a car. However, commuting by bicycle is convenient in Queensborough as the bicycling network is good, and there are a limited number of elevation changes.

This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period. It is straightforward to get to the closest supermarket as a pedestrian from any home in this area. Additionally, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and property owners are served by a few cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, in this part of the city, parents and their kids will usually be able to access schools and daycares by walking.
