Owing to Coquitlam Central Station on the West Coast Express Line, and a few nearby bus lines, Ranch Park also benefits from a fairly good public transit system. This neighbourhood is not very cycling-friendly since bike riders are faced with a considerable amount of slopes. Nonetheless, there are a good number of bike lanes. This part of Coquitlam is also not particularly convenient for walking since most daily needs are at times challenging to meet on foot.


In Ranch Park, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly duplexes and townhouses. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 80% of the units in Ranch Park and the rest are rented. Most housing in this neighbourhood was constructed between 1960 and 1980, during its main building boom.


Parents and their children will find that wherever their property is situated in this part of Coquitlam, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, there are no high schools in Ranch Park. With regards to food, it is often possible for house buyers in Ranch Park to purchase groceries on foot. Likewise, this part of the city is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, and a small selection of cafes is available as well.
