Renfrew has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Renfrew is quiet, as the streets are generally quite peaceful, although that is not the case near one of the railway lines or Trans-Canada Highway. Many of the homes for sale in this part of Vancouver are located in places that are also rather convenient for people who prefer to get around on foot; many daily errands can be run without needing a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are moderately close by. Renfrew is a fairly convenient part of Vancouver for bike riders. For instance, Renfrew has reasonably good bicycling infrastructure.

Housing

About half of dwellings are duplexes, making it easy to find duplexes in Renfrew, but small apartment buildings and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock.
