There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Ridgedale. There are around 20 green spaces close by for residents to relax in, like Sturgeon Creek Park and Woodhaven Park, and they are especially well-located, making it easy to access them. Due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets, this area remains relatively quiet.

Transportation

This part of the city is particularly car friendly. It is especially convenient to park, and nearby highways are easy to reach from any home in Ridgedale. On the other hand, the public transit service in Ridgedale is not very frequent. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close by. Traveling on foot is not very practical for residents in this neighbourhood because running daily errands is at times challenging without needing to use a vehicle. The bicycle is a somewhat poor method of transportation in this part of the city as there are few bike lanes. Nonetheless, riding a bicycle is facilitated by the generally flat terrain.

Housing

About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one quarter are renters. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about 60% of buildings in this neighbourhood, whereas the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. Roughly 40% of properties in this part of Winnipeg were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood has a good choice of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

It is a short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from any location in this area. In contrast, there are only a limited number of high schools and consequently they can be a long trip away. As far as eating is concerned, it is difficult to reach the closest supermarket on foot from most houses for sale in this area. In addition, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and there are also a few coffee shops in this neighbourhood.
