Riley Park does not require use of a car as several other methods of transportation are available. The majority of the housing stock of Riley Park consists of small apartment buildings and duplexes, while the remainder are mainly single detached homes. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 55% of the units in Riley Park while the remainder are rented.
