River Lake offers a relaxed environment. River Lake is wonderful for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces aren't well-distributed, which results in them being very hard to reach from most locations within this part of the municipality. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to discover, such as Tangier Grand Lake Wilderness Area.

Transportation

The preferred method of transportation in this community is very often driving. Parking is quite easy. This part of the municipality is not very appropriate for biking because the topography is not especially flat, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. River Lake is also not very conducive to pedestrians because almost no common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Housing

Around 30% of properties in River Lake were constructed prior to the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. It is very rarely possible for house buyers in River Lake to purchase their groceries as pedestrians. With respect to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this community. Additionally, daycares are not plentiful and therefore not always within walking distance.
