Finally, public green spaces, including Whitemud Equestrian Park and Whitemud Park, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in, which results in them being very easy to reach from most locations in this neighbourhood.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is straightforward to get around in River Valley Whitemud. This part of the city has a reasonably good public transit infrastructure. More specifically, there are a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Walking is not very feasible for home buyers in River Valley Whitemud as very few daily needs can be carried out on foot. This area is reasonably appropriate for bicycling as the cycling infrastructure is very extensive. Driving is very often the preferred transportation option in this neighbourhood. It is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from any location in River Valley Whitemud, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 60% of buildings in River Valley Whitemud, and the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. The split between homeowners and renters is about even. Around three quarters of the properties in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960.

Services

In the majority of cases, a vehicle is required to purchase groceries. Concerning education, primary schools are easy to walk to from most homes for sale in this area. On the other hand, River Valley Whitemud does not contain any high schools.
