It is easy to get to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, since there are approximately 30 of them nearby for residents to unwind in and reaching the closest park is sometimes hard from a large number of homes for sale. Finally, as there are very few people out and about on the streets, this part of Burlington remains relatively calm.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is an extremely good part of Burlington for getting around by car. It is very easy to access a place to park, and the city block layout is reasonably amenable to driving. However, Rural is not an especially convenient part of Burlington for moving around by public transit. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by about 10 bus lines, and it is straightforward to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Rural is not very suitable for those who prefer to get around as pedestrians because carrying out daily needs is occasionally difficult without a car. The bike is a rather poor means of transportation in this neighbourhood as there are very few bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of elevation changes.

Housing

Nearly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are occupied by renters. Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in this area. About 45% of homes in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Parents and their kids will value that no matter where their home is located in Rural, daycares are nearby. In contrast, there are only a very small number of high schools in this part of the city and therefore they can be a very long stroll away. In addition, this neighbourhood does not contain any primary schools. In terms of food, a fraction of residents in Rural may be able to shop for groceries by walking, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. There are also a few options for those who appreciate nearby restaurants.
