This neighbourhood is quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Lastly, it is very easy to get to public green spaces since there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy.


Scottsdale-Heath will draw physically active people as it is reasonably convenient for those who travel by foot, although common amenities such as hair salons or hardware stores can be an occasionally long walk away. In contrast, this part of the municipality is not especially cycling-friendly since the bicycling infrastructure is sometimes poor, and cyclists encounter quite a few slopes. Travelling by transit can be at times difficult in this area due to the low service level. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is straightforward to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. On the other hand, Scottsdale-Heath is a very good part of Delta for moving around by car. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is easy to come across a place to park.


Most housing in Scottsdale-Heath was built between 1960 and 1980, during its most significant construction boom. Over half of the housing stock of this neighbourhood consists of duplexes and single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly townhouses. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in Scottsdale-Heath and renters occupy the remainder. This part of Delta is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.


In this part of Delta, families will typically be able to get to primary schools and daycares on foot. However, there are no high schools in Scottsdale-Heath. In terms of food, a supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a reasonably short walk from anywhere in Scottsdale-Heath. Furthermore, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a small variety of coffee shops can be found as well.
