    Sector An is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this part of the city. Sector An is very quiet, as the streets are usually very calm. However, this neighbourhood features a small amount of greenery; to be more specific, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is below average. However, parks, such as Parc Rene Veilette, are especially well-distributed and there are over 50 of them close by for residents to relax in, making it very easy to get to them from most locations within sector A. Finally, even though this part of Brossard is not known for its vibrancy, its main streets can still be quite dynamic, and with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities.

    Transportation

    No matter the medium of transportation, it is fairly simple to get around in this neighbourhood. The reasonably good transit network allows people to get to many destinations without needing a car. Residents can count on Panama with access to the Gare Centrale - Brossard. The neighbourhood is served by over 50 bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. People who value living in a compact area will also welcome the pedestrian-friendly character of sector A; running common errands is convenient without the need for a vehicle, and various businesses are moderately close by. Sector An is conducive to bicycling as there are not many hills to confront cyclists, and there are a good number of bike lanes.

    Housing

    Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing most buildings in sector A, but single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This area has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. There are equal parts renters and owners living in this area. Around 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.

    Services

    Families will value that no matter where their property is located in this neighbourhood, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, high schools are not especially abundant and therefore not always within walking distance. With respect to food, it is very easy to access the nearest grocery store by foot in sector A. In addition, sector An is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe, for example on Grande Allée. It is also a reasonably short trip to a decent selection of clothing stores.
