This part of Brossard features almost no greenery; however, there are over 50 parks nearby for residents to visit, including Parc Niagara, and they are very well-located, which makes it easy to access them. This area is also very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially around Autoroute de l'Acier, Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or the railway line.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in sector L. It is especially convenient to access a parking spot, and most real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is sometimes challenging in this neighbourhood. Thankfully, there is Du Quartier and Brossard on the Gare Centrale - Brossard. The neighbourhood is linked by over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are generally very close by. Even though this part of the city features fairly good bicycling infrastructure, there are a limited number of hills, and certain bike-friendly areas can be found, sector L is not especially suited for bicycling. It is also sometimes difficult for pedestrians to navigate sector L as few daily needs can be met without a car.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing about one third of dwellings in sector L, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and two bedroom homes. About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one quarter are renters. This area experienced its main building boom after the year 2000, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period.

A supermarket is ordinarily accessible within an extended stroll from most homes for sale in sector L. Moreover, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a good number of choices, and there are also a few coffee shops in sector L. In terms of education, parents and their kids will appreciate that no matter where their home is situated in this neighbourhood, daycares are close by. On the other hand, high schools may require a very long walk to get to, and there are no primary schools in sector L.
