Sector S offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Greenery is quite prominent in this area as the majority of streets have reasonably good tree coverage. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to enjoy and they are very well-situated, making it easy to get to them. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are generally reasonably tranquil - however noise can be an issue closer to Autoroute René-Lévesque.


Moving around by car is especially convenient in sector S. It is easy to park, and most houses for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute René-Lévesque. On the other hand, public transit riders may have limited choices in sector S due to the low service level. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. It is at times challenging for people travelling on foot to navigate sector S because common amenities such as post offices or hardware stores can be an occasionally long walk away.


Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about 45% of buildings in sector S, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. Roughly half of homes in this area were built in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. This part of the city also has a good choice of unit sizes - houses range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 20% are renters.


Getting to the closest grocery store on foot is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in sector S. A limited selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. Concerning education, it is a rather short walk to get to schools and daycares from any location in sector S.
