There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in sector V. To be more specific, there are a few parks nearby for residents to visit and they are especially well-distributed, making them easy to access from a large number of locations within this part of the city. At the same time, the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is below average. Finally, it is relatively quiet in this neighbourhood, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.
Sector V is especially car friendly. Nearby highways, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est, are very easy to access from any home in this neighbourhood, and the city block layout is reasonably conducive to driving. In contrast, the public transit network in sector V is not very accessible. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically just around the corner. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not very convenient for walking since running common errands is at times challenging.
Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of buildings in sector V, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of the city experienced its largest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of Brossard also has a good choice of housing sizes - homes range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Homeowners occupy roughly 70% of the properties in sector V and 30% are occupied by renters.
It is a rather short walk to access primary schools and daycares from anywhere in this area. In contrast, there are no high schools in sector V. Regarding eating, home buyers in this part of the city generally have to rely on a vehicle to travel to the nearest grocery store. Residents of sector V are served by a few restaurants as well.
