Getting around on foot is not very popular in sector V, despite the fact that carrying out day-to-day needs is convenient without the use of a vehicle. However, sector V is reasonably suited for bicycling because the cycling network is good, and there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave.
Housing
In sector V, many buildings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This part of Brossard also has a good selection of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder.

Parents and their children will welcome that no matter where their house is situated in this part of the city, primary schools and daycares are close by. In contrast, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. With regards to food, it is challenging to reach the closest grocery store by foot from most homes for sale in sector V. Additionally, this part of Brossard is a good place in which to eat out.
