Noise can sometimes be an issue in sector Y, as traffic during rush hour can occasionally be loud. The greenery in this part of Brossard is not very prominent, however residents will benefit from the fact that there are green spaces in nearby areas outside of the neighbourhood.
The car is usually the best approach to navigate this area. Nearby highways, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est, are very easy to reach from any home in sector Y, and it is very convenient to park. However, sector Y is not very transit friendly. It is challenging for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood as many daily needs are inconvenient to meet without having to use a vehicle.

Most of the housing growth in this part of the city has happened following the year 2000. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and two bedroom homes.
Sector Y does not have any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. Regarding food, a fraction of home buyers in sector Y may be able to travel to the closest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle.
