Sheridan real estate guide & listings for sale

Sheridan offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This neighbourhood is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several noisier sections, especially near Queen Elizabeth Way. Lastly, accessing parks, such as Thornlodge Park and Springbank Meadows, is easy from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood, since there are approximately 20 of them close by for residents to explore and most homes for sale have a park a short walk away.

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Sheridan. The majority of properties for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and it is very easy to come across a place to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Sheridan is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and it is convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Moving around by bicycle is occasionally difficult in Sheridan because cyclists encounter a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. Nevertheless, a few bicycling-friendly sectors exist. It is also challenging for pedestrians to navigate Sheridan since few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Most housing in Sheridan was built in the 1960s and 1970s, during its most significant building boom. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most dwellings in this area, and the remaining homes are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. Homeowners occupy about 70% of the units in Sheridan and 30% are rented. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

Some house buyers in Sheridan may be able to reach the nearest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use another means of transportation. There are also a limited number of choices for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, parents and their kids will welcome that wherever their house is situated in Sheridan, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. Families have the choice between public and private elementary schools. On the other hand, it can be very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian.
