Sober Island offers a slower-paced atmosphere. Most areas in Sober Island are very quiet, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Green spaces aren't well-located, making them very hard to get to. Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in this area. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. Biking is challenging in Sober Island because the topography is not very flat, and the cycling network is quite poor. A majority of the homes for sale in this community are located in places that are also not very conducive to people who prefer to travel by foot because almost no daily errands can be run without a vehicle.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about 90% of the dwellings in the community and 10% are rented. The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. About 30% of properties in this community were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Sober Island. Furthermore, daycares are not numerous and accordingly may require a very long trip to get to. With regards to food, in all cases, a car is needed in Sober Island to access the nearest grocery store.
