Public green spaces, like Kirkbridge Park and Ken Oblik Greenway, are especially well-distributed and there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to enjoy, making it easy to reach them. This area is also very good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.

Transportation

The favoured method of transportation in South Pointe is very often a car. It is very easy to access a parking spot, and many real estate listings are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the transit service in this part of Winnipeg is not very convenient. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Biking is convenient in this area as riding is facilitated by the generally flat terrain, and the bicycling network is fairly comprehensive. South Pointe is not very suitable for those who prefer to travel on foot since very few daily errands can be run without needing a vehicle.

Most housing in this neighbourhood was built following the year 2000, during its biggest construction boom. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. It is very difficult to access the closest grocery store without a car in South Pointe. A limited number of cafes is available as well. When it comes to education, families will welcome that wherever their property is located in this area, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, high schools are not very plentiful and consequently may require a long distance to get to.
