Transportation

The favoured transportation option in South Poplar is very often a car. It is especially convenient to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in this area. In contrast, South Poplar is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines. It is very inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in South Poplar because meeting daily needs is impractical by walking.

Housing

In South Poplar, roughly half of buildings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings, duplexes, and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. There are only a few primary schools in this neighbourhood and thus they can be a long walk away. Likewise, South Poplar does not contain any high schools. Concerning food, house buyers in South Poplar usually have to rely on a vehicle to do their grocery shopping. A small variety of cafes is available as well.
