Steelhead is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Most areas in Steelhead are very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-situated, making it very hard to access them. Still, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, like Mill Pond Park and Hayward Lake Recreation Area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this part of the municipality. It is very easy to find a place to park. It is very impractical for people walking to move around in Steelhead because many daily needs are very inconvenient to meet without a vehicle. The bicycle is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in this area since there are quite a few hills, and the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed.

Home buyers in this neighbourhood almost always need a vehicle to purchase their groceries. With regards to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in Steelhead. In addition, parents and their kids may consider it very difficult to get to daycares without a vehicle.
