Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Strong. It is very convenient to come across a place to park, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 11. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very feasible for house buyers in Strong because very few common errands can be run without needing a car. This township is also not very cycling-friendly because Strong is home to quite poor bicycling infrastructure, and cyclists are faced with quite a few hills.

Housing

The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Strong is an important part of its character. This township offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the dwellings in the township are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. About one third of homes in this part of Parry Sound District were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.

Strong does not have any primary schools. In addition, it can be very hard to access daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to food, reaching the closest supermarket by foot is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in Strong.
