This area is an extraordinarily good part of Abbotsford for driving. Coming across a place to park is quite easy, and many houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, the public transit infrastructure in Sumas Prairie is not very accessible. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close by. Even though cycling is better in some areas than others, travelling by bicycle is difficult in Sumas Prairie as there are a good number of hills, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very practical for house buyers in Sumas Prairie as few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.
