There are a few parks close by for residents to unwind in and they are especially well-distributed, which makes them easy to reach from a lot of locations within this neighbourhood. Lastly, this area remains relatively serene, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.
Transportation
Driving is a great means of transportation in Sunset Beach. It is a very short drive to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to access a place to park. In contrast, Sunset Beach is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually around the corner. The bike is a fairly poor mode of transportation in Sunset Beach because riding is made strenuous by the typically hilly terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Most homes for sale in this part of West Vancouver are located in areas that are also not very convenient for people who like to get around on foot since carrying out daily needs is very inconvenient without the use of a car.
Housing
Around 70% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder. In this part of West Vancouver, about 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings, duplexes, and townhouses. About 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
Services
This neighbourhood does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, daycares are not abundant and consequently not always within a short distance. With regards to food, house buyers in this neighbourhood usually have to rely on a vehicle to reach the nearest grocery store.
