Symington Yards experienced its most significant construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era. Over half of the housing stock of this neighbourhood consists of small apartment buildings and single detached homes, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly townhouses. The split between homeowners and renters is about even. This part of the city offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.


There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the city. Likewise, parents and their kids may consider it very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian. With regards to food, it is very rarely possible for house buyers in this part of Winnipeg to reach the closest grocery store on foot.
