This part of Burlington is fairly good for those who like quiet surroundings, as the streets tend to be quite peaceful - although that is not the case near Highway 403 or Highway 407. Finally, green spaces are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, which results in them being easy to get to from many locations in Tyandaga.

Transportation

The car is very often the best transportation option in Tyandaga. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, are reasonably easy to reach from any home in this area. In contrast, the public transit service in Tyandaga is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. It is difficult for people walking to navigate Tyandaga because many daily needs are impractical to carry out without the use of a vehicle. This area is also not very bike-friendly as Tyandaga has a rather poor bicycling infrastructure, and bike riders encounter quite a few hills.

Housing

Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in Tyandaga and the remainder are rented. In this part of the city, about two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly townhouses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This neighbourhood also has a choice of unit sizes; notably, this area is good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate that no matter where their house is situated in this part of the city, primary schools are nearby. In contrast, Tyandaga does not contain any high schools. In terms of food, a fraction of home buyers in this part of the city may be able to shop for their groceries on foot, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. A small variety of restaurants is available in Tyandaga as well.
