Tyendinaga Real Estate & Houses for Sale
Tyendinaga is a fairly good township to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm ambience. Tyendinaga is reasonably quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier areas, especially around one of the railway lines or Highway 401.
Transportation
Cars are a great transportation option in Tyendinaga. It is especially convenient to find a place to park. Tyendinaga is not very suitable for those who get around as pedestrians as running common errands is very inconvenient without the need to use a car. This part of the Hastings metropolitan area is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.
Housing
About one third of properties in Tyendinaga were constructed pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. In this township, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are the main alternative in the housing stock. Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the properties in Tyendinaga while the rest are rented. This township also has quite a good variety of housing sizes; notably, this part of Hastings County is good for those looking for three bedroom homes.
Services
Purchasing one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in Tyendinaga. With respect to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this township. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and therefore they can be a very long trip away.
