Transportation

Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in this area. The majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 99, and coming across a place to park is quite easy. On the other hand, getting around by transit can be very hard in this part of West Vancouver as a result of the service's low frequency. Most houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very well-suited for those who travel by foot as running day-to-day errands is very impractical. Bicycling is also very hard in Upper Lands since there are very few bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of hills.

Housing

Around 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about 40% of buildings in this area, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and townhouses. The homes in this part of West Vancouver are quite new, since around one third of its dwellings were constructed after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and two bedroom homes.

Services

Parents may consider it difficult for their children to get to high schools and primary schools on foot. Furthermore, daycares are not abundant and accordingly not always within walking distance. In terms of food, it is very rarely possible for home buyers in this part of West Vancouver to do grocery shopping on foot. There are a few options for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity.
